During the off-season, when I am not training, I still like to eat well and feel good in the process.
One of the best ways is to increase my calories to maintain my wellbeing in the off-season. Everyday I try to include as much variety as possible from nutrient rich, flavoursome foods so everything remains enjoyable to eat and good to tastes.
By increasing my calories, I can maintain a daily calorie surplus to better facilitate my heavy workouts in the gym and keep my body in an anabolic state. I enjoy in my off-season eating plan based on my off-season body weight of 107-110kg.
This is one of my favourite off-seasons shakes- its green and it packs a huge protein bunch.

Off-season Green Protein Shake

Calories 301, Protein 50.34, Carbohydrate 33.1, Fat 13.1
Ingredients
1 cup of cold water (or substitute with Almond Milk)
1 serve Gen-Tec’s Swiss Vanilla Hydro Pro WPI (Protein Powder)
1 rip medium banana (approx. 170g, frozen is best)
50g fresh baby spinach
1 heaped tablespoon of organic green powder
20g of ground almonds
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
Blend all ingredients together, serve and enjoy.
